2015 Raleigh Route 3.0

Raleigh's Route 3.0 is an awesome all-around bike that can take you from bike paths and country roads to city streets and suburban cul-de-sacs. It boasts a lightweight aluminum frame and a back-friendly, upright riding position to keep you feeling great on every ride. The bump-busting suspension fork smooths even the roughest roads, while the SR SunTour/Shimano drivetrain delivers 21 easy-shifting speeds to ensure you have the perfect gears to sail over the hills. And, you'll love the plush and supportive Raleigh seat, the easy-rolling 700c wheels, and Kenda's puncture-resistant tires.

        Comments:

I have purchased two of the Route 3.0s - one in 2012 and one 2015, and tried a Cannondale hybrid bike in between. But nothing compares to the comfort and solidity of this bike for some reason. Highly recommend.

          Comments:

2012 Raleigh Route 3.0 Fast and stable, and although fairly light for a hybrid, it's built like a tank. I had a 2007 Raleigh Passage 3.0 (basically the same bike, but discontinued in 2008 and replaced by the Route line), but I beat the living daylights out of it. My daily "cruiser" & weekly grocery-getter. Nevertheless, it held up for 5+ years straight, and in all that time the only trouble I had with it was the bottom bracket giving out, and one popped spoke. Both occurred within the last 2 months. The 2012 Route 3.0 fits me quite a bit better, and its steering is a lot less twitchy than my old Passage's, much as I loved that bike. I think it has something to do with 2012's cross tube at the top bending up towards the handlebar neck. Anyway, I look forward to at least as many happy miles and years with my 2012 Route 3.0.

My Raleigh Route 3.0 is the 2012 year model. It's very fast and stable, and although fairly light for a hybrid, it's still built like a tank. I look forward to as many happy miles and years with my new Route 3.0.
